Arne Miller has been employed at Risų National Laboratory since 1969, where he is head of Risų High Dose Reference Laboratory, an accredited calibration laboratory working for the radiation processing industry.

Arne Miller is convener of CEN/TC 204 working group 2 on radiation sterilization and a member of the equivalent working group in ISO/TC 198. He is editor-in-chief for Radiation Physics and Chemistry with responsibility for radiation processing. In 1997 he received the Science and Technology Award at the 10th International Meeting on Radiation Processing
